- ½ cup vegetable shortening, at room temperature
- 4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
- For the Icing:
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- ¾ cup powdered sugar, sifted
