Preheat oven to 190 C. Grease a lined 6 by 8 in baking tray

  • 150 g golden syrup
  • plus 1 tbsp
  • 350 g oats
  • 100 g soft brown sugar
  • 1.5 balls stem ginger
  • chopped
  • 0.25 tsp ground ginger
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • chopped

Be careful not to overcook these (I tend to cook them for slightly shorter than I recommend below so they are that

  • 180g Stork (or other soft butter)
  • 225g brown sugar
  • 3 level tbsp golden syrup
  • 275g porridge oats
  • 100g plain chocolate

Put the butter, sugar into pan over a low heat and stir until the butter has melted
