  • peeled and diced
  • 200 gr plain flour
  • 50 gr granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 85 gr cold butter (unsalted)
  • 65 gr mild cheddar
  • grated
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp heavy cream
  • for the top:
  • some grated cheddar for sprinkling
  • 1 egg lightly beaten

Preheat oven to 220 deg C (Gas mark 7)

  • 225g (8oz) Self Raising Flour
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 55g (2oz) Butter
  • 110g (4oz) Mature Cheddar Cheese (grated)
  • 150ml (5 fl. oz) Milk
