  • plain flour
  • milk
  • pinch of salt
  • oil for cooking

Preparation

Step 1

preheat the oven to 200 and place oil in the yorkshire pudding tins - heat tin until oil is smoking hot

Step 2

whist the pan is heating crack the egg into a measuring cup or jug - check measurement and place egg into a mixing bowl. (a medium egg is normally a 1/4 cup)

Step 3

measure out the flour and milk in the same qauntity as the egg so if your egg was a 1/4 cup you would also need a 1/4 cup of milk and a 1/4 cup of flour.

Step 4

Add a pinch of salt and then beat well with an electric wish.

Step 5

Pour the mix into the yorkshire pans and cook until well risen and golden brown.

Do not open the oven whilst the yorkshires are rising otherwise they will go flat.
