Best Classic Vanilla Cupcakes
Cute little cupcakes, so easy to make and even easier to eat!
- 172g Butter
- 343g Sugar
- 5 Eggs
- 572g Self raising Flour
- 2tsp Baking Powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 235ml Milk
- Vanilla extract

Preheat the oven to Gas mark 4.
Prepare the cupcake trays with cases.
Add the butter and sugar into a bowl and cream together.
Add the eggs 1 at a time whilst folding in.
Sift the flour into the mixture slowly.
Slowly add the milk keeping the mixture smooth.
Add the vanilla extract to taste.
Using a tablespoon, add the mixture into the cases.
Put on the middle shelf of the oven and cook for about 20 mins or until golden.
Decorate as chosen, such as butter cream, icing, sprinkles, etc.
Sift the flour a few times to help make it lighter.
Fold the mixture a lot to help get air into it helping the cupcakes to be light and fluffy.
