- 100g brown sugar
- 100g white sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2tbsp golden syrup
- 1tbsp butter
- 1tsp vanilla essence

Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the syrup, sugar and milk.
Stir over a slow heat until the sugars have fully dissolved.
Bring to the boil and boil for a few minutes.
Remove from the heat and leave to cool.
When the bubbling has stopped, add the vanilla essence and beat until thick and creamy.
Pour mixture into a well buttered dish and leave to set in the fridge.
When fully set, cut into small squares and serve.
It's really important to beat the mixture well, otherwise when the mixture sets, it will turn into toffee not fudge.
