Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup self-raising flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 3/4 tp baking soda
  • 1/4 tp salt
  • 1 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cool butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup coffee
  • 1tp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 85g chocolate
  • 1 3/4 cup cream
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1tp salt
  • 1tp vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

Sieve and mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt and sugar together.

Step 2

Add in butter and mix until well mix.

Step 3

Add milk, coffee and vanilla and mix well.

Step 4

Add whisked eggs and mix.

Step 5

Grease 2 cake tins. Pour the batter equally into 2 tins.

Step 6

Bake for 30min at 180oC.

Step 7

Cool the cake for 30min before removing from the cake tin and cool further more.

Step 8

Add cream to chocolate. Melt the chocolate over water bath.

Step 9

Add in mixture of sour cream, salt and vanilla extract into melted chocolate. Mix well. Let it cool to room temperature.

Step 10

Spread the frosting in between and over the cake.
