Nana's Chocolate Fudge Cake
This chocolate cake is the ultimate chocolate cake for all chocolate, cake and pudding lovers. Yummy, moist and delicious
- 7 oz Self Raising Flour
- 8 oz Caster Sugar
- 4 oz Marg
- 5 tbsp Water
- 6 Tbsp Evaporated Milk
- 2 Tbsp Cocoa powder
- 2 eggs
- Chocolate Fudge Frosting-
- 5 oz Icing Sugar
- 1 oz Cocoa Powder
- 2 oz buteer
- 2 tbsp Water
- 2 oz Caster Sugar
- Few drops Vanilla Essence

Sift the flour and sugar and mix together in a large mixing bowl .
Rub in the margarine until the mixture resembles bread crumbs.
Add the sieved cocoa.
In another bowl beat the eggs, water and evaporated milk. Beat together for 1 minute with a wooden spoon until thick and glossy.
Pour into 2 8 inch lined sandwich tins and share evenly. Bake for 25 minutes to half an hour at 190 Degrees C.
Whilst the cakes are cooling on a wire rack, sift the icing sugar and cocoa powder and set aside.
When the cake is cool melt the butter, water and sugar in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves and boil just to a simmer.
Pour the hot syrup into the sieved ingredients and mix well.
Quickly put on the cool sponges and share evenly using a spatula for a smooth finish.
Leave to set for as long as you can resist it.
