- 1 cup of plain flour

Place sugar, baking powder and eggs in a bowl and combine using a mixer.
Pour in the oil and add flour slowly while mixing.
After all the ingredients have combined we can start peeling the apples. Peeled apples should be deseeded and sliced thinly (not too thin though).
The sliced apples need to be rolled in cinammon. Use cinammon to your taste.
Place baking paper in your desired baking tray/cake case or pyrex dish, place the sliced apples at the bottom and pour over the cake mixture you made earlier.
Place in a preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes at 200 degrees c temperature.
When the cake is ready dust with icing sugar and serve with ice cream or custard. Can be enjoyed on its own hot or cold.
You can sprinkle flaked almonds or chopped hazelnuts on the top before baking for an extra nutty crunch!
