  • 295g self-raising flour
  • 1 1/2 tp dry yeast
  • 40g butter
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 120ml lukewarm milk

Preparation

Step 1

Mix in flour and yeast.

Step 2

Mix in butter. Mix them thoroughly.

Step 3

Add in sugar and salt and mix well.

Step 4

Whisk the egg at room temperature and mix it into the flour mixture.

Step 5

Add in warm milk and mix well. Knead it into a dough. Knead until it's not sticky anymore.

Step 6

Lightly butter a bowl and place the dough into the bowl. Cover and let it rise for 2 hours.

Step 7

Sprinkle some flour over the baking tray. Roll out the dough. Sprinkle some flour over the working place to prevent the dough from sticking.

Step 8

Cut the dough into doughnut shape using mold. Cover the doughnut and let them rise for an hour.

Step 9

Deep-fry the doughnuts until golden brown.

Step 10

Toss the doughnuts over some sugar.
