- 1 red cabbage
- 1 large or 2 small apples
- 1/4 pint cider, wine or apple juice
- Optional onion, garlic, sultanas

Preparation
Step 1
Butter a medium casserole dish to stop sticking.
Finely chop cabbage.
Peel & chunk apple/s
Step 2
Layer cabbage, then apple, then cabbage.
Add some extra butter into layers too if you're not watching your weight / cholesterol ;)
Step 3
Slosh on the liquid & lid, then pop in the oven for approx. 40 minutes.
Step 4
Drink the rest of the wine / cider :)
