Ingredients
- 2oz butter
- 1lb onions
- chopped
- 4 beef oxo cubes
- 2pts hot water
- salt and pepper
- 6-8 slices French bread
- cheese
- grated to serve

Step 1
Saute the onions in the butter.
Step 2
Dissolve the oxo cubes in the water.
Step 3
Add sautéed onions to the stock, cook till soft
Step 4
Toast the French bread, top with grated cheese, grill till melted.
Step 5
Dish up the soup, top with French bread and serve.
