Smooth vanilla cupcakes, moist and delicious with a rich buttercream icing. Great for Valentine's Day.

  • 125 grams of butter
  • 125 grams of caster sugar
  • 125 grams of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla sugar or 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • Buttercream icing:
  • 200 grams of soft butter
  • 450 grams of icing sugar
  • Food colouring

Step 1

Mix all the ingredients together until smooth.

Step 2

Spoon the cupcake mixture into cupcake cases and bake at 180°C for about 15 minutes.

Step 3

Mix all the ingredients for the buttercream icing until smooth.

Step 4

Decorate the cupcakes with the butter cream icing only when the cupcakes have cooled after being taken out of the oven.

Sprinkle with edible lovehearts.
