Valentine's Day Vanilla Cupcakes with Buttercream Icing
Smooth vanilla cupcakes, moist and delicious with a rich buttercream icing. Great for Valentine's Day.
- 125 grams of butter
- 125 grams of caster sugar
- 125 grams of flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla sugar or 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- Buttercream icing:
- 200 grams of soft butter
- 450 grams of icing sugar
- Food colouring

Mix all the ingredients together until smooth.
Spoon the cupcake mixture into cupcake cases and bake at 180°C for about 15 minutes.
Mix all the ingredients for the buttercream icing until smooth.
Decorate the cupcakes with the butter cream icing only when the cupcakes have cooled after being taken out of the oven.
Sprinkle with edible lovehearts.
