Homemade rice pudding made in a slow cooker
- 40g Butter (unsalted)
- 150g Pudding Rice
- 150g Sugar
- 1 1/2 litre Milk
- 3 tsp Vanilla Essence
- Optional: Pinch of Nutmeg

Smear 1/4 of the butter around the ceramic pot of your slow cooker. Add all the main ingredients plus any optional ingredients you wish.
Put you slow cooker on high for roughly one hour or until the butter has totally melted, then turn down to low.
Leave on low setting for 3-4 hours or until there is no butter evident. Serve in a bowl.
To make this dish richer add some cream as you serve.
If not all eaten, allow to cool place in fridge and can be reheated in the microwave on full power for 2-4 minutes depending on your microwave voltage.
