Ingredients
- Dough:
- 125g flour
- 60g butter
- 60g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 pack vanilla sugar
- 1 pod Butter-Vanille (Dr. Oetker)
- 1tsp baking powder
- Filling:
- 500g quark (should be quite firm)
- 100g sugar
- 1 pack vanilla sugar
- 1 pod Butter-Vanille (Dr. Oetker)
- lemon juice
- 1tbsp cornflour
- 0.5cup vegetable oil
- 3 egg

Preparation
Step 1
Add all the ingredients for the dough into a mixing bowl and mix until they are blended together. Add a splash of milk if required to get the right consistency.
Step 2
Roll out the dough and line the base and sides of a lightly greased spring form with it.
Step 3
For the Filling:
Separate the eggs.
Step 4
Place all ingredients for the filling apart from the egg whites into a clean mixing bowl and mix together well.
Step 5
Beat the egg whites until you have soft peaks.
Step 6
Carefully fold the beaten egg whites into the rest of the filling mixture.
Step 7
Add the filling on top of base in spring form.
Step 8
Bake for 50 minutes in an oven pre-heated to 180°C.
Step 9
Allow to cool before serving.
Why not try adding some fruit to the recipe? Canned mandarin orange segments work wonderfully, as do Morello cherries.
