Preparation
Step 1
Mix the milk, sugar, and cocoa butter. Boil a little to homogenize the mixture, then reduce the heat.
Step 2
Remove 250 ml (one cup) of this mixture and set aside.
Step 3
In the rest of the mixture, add the egg, flour, bicarbonate of soda and then egg whites beaten stiff.
Step 4
Mix gently and pour into a buttered and floured baking tray.
Step 5
On top add 1 kg of red fruit (without the stones - cherries, red currants, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, etc.).
Step 6
Place in the oven and bake at a moderate heat.
Step 7
Pierce the cake, once cooked, but still hot, with a fork, then pour over the cup of hot cream reserved earlier.
Step 8
Optional: Sprinkle with coconut.
