Recipe for a classic British dish, the famed Toad in the Hole.

Ingredients
- 8 rashers smoky streaky bacon
- 8 good quality pork sausages
- 110g plain flour
- Ping of salt
- 2 eggs
- 300ml milk

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to fan 200c or conventional 220c gas mark 7
Step 2
Wrap each sausage with a rasher of bacon. Place in a greased shallow ovenproof dish. Bake for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Mix flour and salt in a bowl, make a hollow in the centre and drop in the eggs. Stir with a wooden spoon and add milk gradually until all the remaining flour is worked in. Then add the remaining milk and beat well with a whisk.
Step 4
Pour the batter over the sausage sand cook for a further 30 minute.
