Pauline's sherry burgers

  • 1lb minced beef
  • 1oz butter
  • 1 tin condensed mushroom soup
  • 1 glass of sherry
  • salt and pepper to taste

Step 1

Add salt and pepper to minced beef and mix.

Step 2

Make up beef burgers with minced beef and fry them in the butter until browned.

Step 3

Transfer burgers to baking dish.

Step 4

Using the frying pan in which the burgers were browned, mix and heat the tin of soup. Add the sherry and stir.

Step 5

Pour mixture over the burgers in the baking dish. Place in the oven and bake at 190°C for 15 mins.

As a tasty alternative you could use pork mince seasoned with sage.
