Recipe for a simple mid-week meal

  • 500g Minced Beef
  • 1 Large Onion
  • 3 Carrots
  • A Handful of Peas
  • Tomato Purée
  • Gravy Granules
  • 5-6 Potatoes
  • Butter
  • Milk
  • Cheese (optional)

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 200c and finely dice the carrots and onions and peel potatoes then chop them to equal sizes

Step 2

Fry the carrots, onions and minced beef
+in a pot boil the potatoes

Step 3

When the meat is browned add some tomato purée and gravy granules then add water and let simmer

Step 4

After 15-20 minutes the potatoes should be cooked and you can add the peas to the mince mix

Step 5

Drain the potatoes add butter and milk (to taste) and mash until smooth

Step 6

Put mince mix in baking dish (of adequate size) and then spread the mash on top
+grate cheese over the top (optional)

Step 7

Leave in the oven for 15-20 mins until golden on top then serve
