Strawberry Jam

  • 2.2lb strawberries or other fruit (raspberry/blackberry)
  • 2.2lb sugar
  • 2-3 lemons to help it set

Step 1

Wash the fruit & hull if using strawberries

Step 2

Put into preserving pan & crush

Step 3

Add the sugar & stir in with the juice of the lemons

Step 4

When all the sugar has dissolved, bring to the boil

Step 5

Bring to a full rolling boil for at least 4 minutes, should be at 105C 220F

Step 6

Remove from heat, remove scum, stir.

Step 7

Put the jam into clean warm jars & add covers
