  • 260g self-raising flour
  • 65g sugar
  • 2tp baking powder
  • 1/4 tp salt
  • 1/4 tp ground cinnamon
  • 113g cold butter
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1 egg
  • 60ml milk

Step 1

Add flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and ground cinnamon together. Mix well.

Step 2

Add in butter. Mix until crumbly.

Step 3

Add raisins and mix well.

Step 4

Whisk the egg. Add to the center of the flour mixture. Add half of the milk and mix well. Add more milk if too dry.

Step 5

Knead into a dough.

Step 6

Roll the dough flat. Cut using a cookie cutter.

Step 7

Butter the frying pan.

Step 8

Pan-fry the cake until slightly brown.
