Sponge cake using rice cooker

  • 3 eggs
  • 90g sugar
  • 90g self-raising flour
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp honey

Preparation

Step 1

Warm the milk using microwave.

Step 2

Pour into a bowl and add honey. Mix.

Step 3

In another bowl, lightly whisk the eggs.

Step 4

Add in sifted sugar. Beat until light and fluffy (may take more than 10min).

Step 5

Add in the milk with honey prepared earlier.

Step 6

Beat the mixture until the batter becomes thicker. Do this over a bowl of boiled water to speed up the process.

Step 7

Add in self-raising flour and mix well.

Step 8

Butter the rice cooker.

Step 9

Pour in the batter into rice cooker.

Step 10

Cook until it's done.

Continue cooking the batter until it's thoroughly cooked. This may take up to 30min depending on the rice cooker.
