Cheese and almond biscuits

These biscuits are absolutely gorgeous! Great for party's and snacking.
Ingredients
- 125g unsalted butter, softened
- 125g Cheddar cheese - grated
- 50g Almonds - finely chopped
- 125g plain white flour
- 1 beaten egg - glaze
- Poppy seeds – garnish

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Put the butter into a large bowl and add the grated cheese. Beat together until soft and creamy.
Step 2
Add the almonds and flour then beat well until thoroughly mixed.
Step 3
Shape into balls and then flatten on backing paper.
Step 4
Brush lightly with a beaten egg to add a glaze.
Step 5
Sprinkle with poppy seeds and bake for about 15 minutes or until crisp and golden.
Step 6
Cool the biscuits on a wire rack then store in an airtight container.
