  • 180g sugar
  • 75g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 250g plain flour
  • 2tsp baking powder
  • 1tsp cinnamon
  • 1tsp mace
  • 200ml milk
  • extra sugar and cinnamon to sprinkle

Step 1

preheat oven to 180*c and lighly grease 20cm cake tin

Step 2

cream butter and sugar untill pale and fluffy

Step 3

slowly add eggs and milk and then fold in all other dry ingredients

Step 4

pour into prepared tin and bake for 40mins

Step 5

spinkle more sugar and cinnamon over cake as it comes out of oven and cool on wire rack
