Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Butter and flour a springform tin.

Step 2

In a bowl, mix the eggs and sugar with a whisk, add the butter, then the self-raising flour, almond powder and salt. Pour the mixture into the prepared tin.

Step 3

Peel the pears and cut them into small pieces. Sprinkle with lemon juice and arrange them on the mixture in the tin.

Step 4

Bake in the oven for 30 mins, checking the colour. After 15 minutes of baking I cover with tin foil.
When you take the tin out the oven, wait 10 minutes before removing from the tin and cool on a wire rack.
