Orla's Chocolate Cake

- 2 Large eggs
- 250ML Milk
- 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 Tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
- Butter 4oz
- Cocoa Powder 2oz
- Plain Flour 8oz

Preparation
Step 1
Set the oven to 180'c. Grease or preferably grease proof paper the cake tin (22cm deep).
Step 2
Stir Lemon juice into the milk. Put butter and half the sugar in a large mixing bowl and beat until pale and fluffy.
Step 3
Beat in the eggs to your mixtureone at a time. Stir in remainder of the sugar. Sift the flower, soda and cocoa powder together in separate bowl.
Step 4
Beat in half the milk and half the flour.Add the rest of the milk and then the rest of the flour. Mix untill smooth.
Step 5
Pour the mixture into the cake tin and bake for 1 hour. (sometimes less depending on different oven and different tins so keep an eye)
Step 6
Allow to cool on wire rack.
