  • 6oz WholeMeal Flour
  • 2oz Soft Dark Brown Sugar
  • 3oz Suet
  • 1tsp Bicarb Of Soda
  • 2tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp Golden Syrup + 2tbsp Golden syrup for base of basin
  • Rind and juice of 1 Orange
  • 1/2tsp Vanilla Essance
  • 1/4Pt Milk

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl combine ALL ingredients together.

Step 2

Pour 2nd measure of golden syrup into basin, spoon pudding mixture on top,

Step 3

Cover all of basin in cling film slit top.
OR
Cover top of basin with greaseproof paper with a pleat in the top, tie top with string.

Step 4

Cook on high power in microwave for 3 1/2 - 4 minutes or until cooked.

Step 5

Stand for 5 minutes, before turning out.

Step 6

Serve with custard.
