Easy Chilli Con Carne


This recipe is very simple to made using mainly ingredient fron te store cupboard. It is delicious and nutritious.

  • 450g Lean Minced Beef
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 1 tin red kidney beans (drained)
  • 1 tin chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tin oxtail soup
  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1 clove garlic (chopped)
  • 1 red pepper (diced)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

Step 1

Heat olive oil in a pan. Sweat onion and garlic for 2 minutes.
Add in the minced beef, chilli powder and fry for 3-4 minutes.

Step 2

Add in pepper, kidney beans, chopped tomatoes, oxtail soup and oregano.
Add 100 ml water. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes till the meat is tender and the sauce thicken.

Step 3

Season to taste. Serve with jacket potatoes and a fresh salad.


Fresh chopped up chilli or dried chilli can also be use.
