Chocolate Fridge Cake
This is a very simple recipe that gives a delicious and rich result. It's essentially a rocky road cake and can be altered to include your favourite sweets or biscuits, white or dark chocolate.
You need to make this cake a couple of hours beforehand at least, but the good thing about this cake is that it takes ten minutes to prepare tops, then all you have to do is throw it (or place it carefully...) in the fridge until you need it.

Ingredients
- 400g Plain Chocolate
- 10Tbsp Golden Syrup

Cost Budget Friendly
Preparation
Step 1
Break up the chocolate into a large pan.
Add the butter and golden syrup.
Melt the ingredients together over a low heat, stirring with a wooden spoon.
When the chocolate has completely melted, crumble the biscuits into the mixture along with anything else you want to add.
Pour the mixture into a suitable tin that has been lined with clingfilm, then place in the fridge on a flat surface. If you want the cake to be a bit gooey then take it out after the 2 hours, otherwise leave it in overnight.
Cut up, serve and enjoy!
