Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 220°C.
Put chopped onion, tomatoes and tomato puree, salt, pepper in a saucepan and cook on low heat for 15 minutes. Leave to cool.
Step 2
Dough:
Put flour, salt, butter, cut into small cubes, in a mixing bowl. Rub the cubes of butter into the flour until the mix looks like breadcrumbs. Add the grated cheese and the milk. Mix everything together until you have a smooth ball of dough.
Divide the dough into 2 balls and roll out making the bases. Place on a greased baking tray then spread on the sauce.
Tips; you may want to pre-cook your pizza base for 5-8 minutes before adding the sauce and topping, as it may be under cooked.
Step 3
Top your pizzas with th ingredients of your choice (ham, musgrooms, peppers, fresh tomatoes...whatever you prefer), cover with a layer of grated cheese and place in the oven for 15-20 minutes. The time will depend on your oven, your pizza is ready when the cheese starts to go brown and crispy.
