Cute little Christmas gingerbread men for the festive season
- 350g plain flour
- 1-2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 100g butter or margarine
- 175g soft light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 4 tablespoons golden syrup

Preheat the oven to gas mark 4
- 85g golden syrup
- 85g butter
- 85g caster sugar or light brown sugar
- 225g plain flour
- 1-2tsp gound ginger
- A little milk
- Icing (optional) -
- 175g icing sugar
- sufficient amount of water
- To decorate -
- Dried fruit
