  • boiling water
  • sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Cut up any quantity of windfall apples and put them through a mincer to pulp them.

Step 2

Measure and to every pint, add one pint of boiling water. Stir well and let stand for two weeks.

Step 3

Squeeze out the juice and sweeten to taste.

Step 4

Leave for two or three days till scum rises.

Step 5

Take off the scum and bottle in firm screw-top bottles.
