- 1 gallon water
- 4 lb sugar
- 4 lb damsons

Boil water and pour over damsons. Leave for 24 hours.
Squeeze and stir daily for 5 days, then strain through a jelly bag.
Stir in the sugar and add one breakfast cup of boiling water and leave to ferment for 8 days.
Skim and bottle.
