  • 1/2 cup (125g) butter
  • 1/2 cup (115g) sugar
  • 6 squares (175g) plain chocolate
  • 2 1/3 cups (200g) ground almonds
  • 4 eggs
  • Topping:
  • 1/4 cup (60g) butter
  • 3 squares (75g) plain chocolate
  • 4 squares (115g) white chocolate

Step 1

Cream 1/2 cup butter and sugar. Add 2/3 plain chocolate, egg yolks and ground almonds.

Step 2

Whisk egg whites, fold in chocolate mix.Pour into greased 21 cm (8 1/2 inch) pan. Cook at 180c for 50-55 mins.

Step 3

Melt topping and pour over cooled cake. Decorate with melted white chocolate.
