  • 50g Matcha green tea powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 150g self rising flour
  • 1 Tsp baking powder
  • 150g butter
  • 150g caster sugar
  • 50ml double cream
  • 90g icing sugar

Preparation

Step 1

pre heat the oven to 180 for 15 mins

Step 2

beat the caster sugar and butter until light, fluffy and creamy.

Step 3

mix in the eggs and baking powder along with the self rising flour and matcha green tea powder.

Step 4

when all properly combined pour the cake mixture into a lined and greased cake tin and bake for 45 mins or until you put a knife through the middle and come out clean.

Step 5

take it out and let it to cool right down.

Step 6

whip up the cream with the icing sugar and matcha green tea powder until soft peaks.

Step 7

one the cake cooled take it out of the tin and slice in in half and fill the bottom half of the cake with the matcha cream.

Step 8

put the cake together and serve.
