Fresh Tagliatelle with Garden Peas and Lardons

A simple Italian style recipe, combined with the fantastic British ingredient that is the humble garden pea. So easy you will make it again and again.

  • 500g fresh tagliatelle, 100g crème fraîche, 200g fresh garden peas, 200g lardons

Preparation

Step 1

In a large pan, add a small splash of olive oil and put on a medium heat. Add the lardons and cook them until they start to shrink in losing their fat

Step 2

Prepare a saucepan of boiling water and add the fresh tagliatelle as well as the garden peas. They won't need much longer than 5 minutes.

Step 3

Drain the pasta and peas, and place into the pan with the lardons and add the creme fraîche. Stir everything together.

Step 4

Serve with fresh basil and parmesan.
