Ingredients
- 450g extra lean beef mince
- 1 large red onion
- 1 large carrot
- 1 red pepper
- 2 chillies
- 2 garlic cloves
- 6oz button mushrooms
- 1 can of kidney beans
- 1 can of chopped tomatoes
- worcestershire sauce
- 2 beef stock cubes
- 2 tbsp chilli powder
- oil
- glug of red wine
- salt and pepper to taste
- grated cheese to serve

Step 1
Brown the mince in a frying pan and drain any excess liquid
Chop all other ingredients and fry off
Add the mince, kidney beans (drained) and tomatoes and combine
Crumble in the stock cubes
Add a glug of red wine
Pour yourself a glass of wine to enjoy whilst cooking
Add a couple of tablespoons of worcestershire sauce, chilli powder, some black pepper and stir
Turn the heat down and continue to simmer for 40 minutes - remembering to continually stir
Serve with rice, jacket potato and garlic bread with a generous sprinkling of cheese
Cook in the slow cooker, the longer the better
