
Ingredients
- 800g diced steak
- 1 large onion diced
- 3 large parsnips
- 6 carrots
- 400ml red wine (or 1 bottle of ale)
- butter for frying
- tsp of marmite
- tbs of balsamic vinegar
- tbs of honey
- tbs of brown sauce
- gravy browning
- 1 cube chicken stock
- salt and pepper (to taste)
- cornflour to thicken
- puff pastry (if you're feeling ambitious use homemade salted croissant dough)

Preparation
Step 1
Chop all vegetables then fry them in butter. Add diced steak wine and balsamic vinegar and allow to simmer for a few minutes
Step 2
Add all other filling ingredients and thicken with cornflour until it reaches the desired consistency. then allow to simmer for a further 10 minutes
Step 3
Pour pie mix into an oven safe dish and cover with pastry trimming the edges if necessary. Place in oven preheated to 180C/gas mark 6 and cook for 20 minutes
Serve with mash (or potato winners) or chips
