Ingredients
- 4 C clams
- 4 C potato, diced
- 1/2 C salt pork, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 C boiling water
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1.5 C scalded milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 C cream
- salt and pepper to taste

Preparation
Step 1
Wash clams, remove hard part, and chop finely (ALTERNATIVE: use can of clams)
Step 2
Parboil potatoes and drain.
Step 3
Cook onion and pork over low heat for approximately 15 minutes.
Step 4
Place clams, potatoes, pork, and onion in layers in large saucepan. Cover with boiling water and cook until potatoes are tender.
Step 5
Add baking soda, milk, butter, and cream. Add seasonings to taste.
