Lentil Chilli

Ingredients
- 500g minced beef
- 1 tin chopped tomatoes
- 1 tin passata
- 1-2 finely chopped chillies
- 1 large onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2-3 celery sticks, chopped
- 1 tin of peas
- 2 carrots, cubed
- 400g soaked lentils
- 1/2tsp oregano
- s+p to taste

Preparation
Step 1
Fry the onion and celery in a large saucepan until the onion is opaque. Add the minced beef and cook until browned. Mix in the chopped tomatoes and passata, let this come to the boil then turn down to a simmering heat.
Step 2
Add the chillies, garlic and oregano. Once this is all blended together, transfer to a slow cooker. Stir in the lentils and carrots. then add 500ml of water.
Step 3
Add salt and pepper to taste, stir hourly.
Serve with rice or tortilla chips. Maybe even taco shells and salad!
