- Gruyere cheese, sliced into fine slices
- Thin rashers of bacon (to wrap the savaloy)

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 210 ° (gas mark 6-7).
Step 2
Remove the skin from the savaloy sausage and pre-cook 5 minutes in boiling water.
Step 3
Cut the sausage lengthwise only 3/4 and garnish the centre with a slice of Swiss gruyère cheese.
Step 4
Close the sausage and wrap it in a slice of bacon, if necessary use cocktail sticks to hold the sausage closed.
Step 5
Bake in the oven until the bacon is golden brown and the cheese has melted, turn the sausage mid-cooking. Serve immediately with a green salad
