Chocolate chip and hazelnut and almond cookies

These lovely cookies are ideal to go with a cup of afternoon tea with friends
Ingredients
- 170g soften butter
- 300g plain flour
- 220g soft brown sugar
- ½ tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 whole egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 200g chocolate chips
- 100g chopped hazelnuts
- 50g almonds

Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter and sugar together till light and fluffy.
Add in whole egg and egg yolk a little at a time. Mix well
Sieve flour, baking soda and salt together. Add to the butter mixture.
Step 2
Mix in chocolate chips and hazelnuts and almonds.
Divide the mixture into 2 equal parts. Roll each portion into a cylinder shape. Wrap in cling film. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Step 3
Cut each tube into 15 pieces. Place the cookie pieces on well greased baking trays. Bake in the oven 200C/ gas mark6 for 8-10 minutes.
Step 4
Cool the cookies on a cooling rack. Store in an air tight tin for up to two weeks
