- 50g Butter (or 25g butter and 25g lard)
- Pinch of Salt
- Water to bind
- 5 medium potatoes peeled and chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons milk
- 1 medium onion finely diced
- 150g chopped bacon
- Oil for frying
- 150g mature cheddar grated
- good pinch of dried mixed herbs
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
