Sausage Gnocchi

- 4 good quality sausages - skins removed
- 2 teaspoons of fennel seeds
- 125ml red wine
- 200g tenderstem broccoli - sliced
- 700g passata
- 400g gnocchi

Preparation
Step 1
Put the meat from the sausages in a pan with the fennel seeds. Break the meat apart, stirring regularly, and cook for about 5 minutes until the sausage meat is cooked.
Step 2
Pour in the wine and let it bubble away to reduce.
Step 3
Add the broccoli and passata to the pan.
Step 4
Cook the gnocchi in a pan of boiling water
Step 5
Once the gnocchi float to the surface (and are cooked), drain them and add to the sausage meat and broccoli sauce.
Sliced asparagus or french green beans work well instead of broccoli
