Steak Medallions with Guiness/Stout Sauce

- 250g rump steam (cut into medallions)
- 1 bottle/½ can Guiness or Stout
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

Preparation
Step 1
Heat a griddle pan until very hot/smoking. Put steak into pan for 1 minute or so on each side. Remove steak from pan and rest for 5 minutes.
Step 2
Put Guiness/stout into small pan, bring to boil and reduce by three-quarters.
Step 3
Add sugar and balsamic vinegar and stir well.
Step 4
Serve steak with sauce poured over.
