Ingredients

  • 500g Strong White Flour
  • 14g Yeast
  • 40g Butter
  • 10g Salt
  • 50g Caster Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 150ml Milk
  • 140ml Warm water

Preparation

Step 1

Put yeast into warm water and milk

Step 2

Put everything else into a bowl then add yeast mix

Step 3

Knead for 5 minutes

Step 4

Put back in bowl and cover with cling film. Prove for 1hr 15 mins

Step 5

Tip onto a floured board and divide mix in 2

Step 6

Make fingers with half the mixture

Step 7

Take the other half, add some currants and demerara sugar and butter. Roll up and put into spitals

Step 8

Place both sets of buns on a baking sheet

Step 9

Prove for a further 40 mins

Step 10

Bake for 10 mins
