Ingredients

  • - 2 litres of red wine
  • - 1.5 litres of elderberry juice
  • - 0.50 l of wine cooked (Porto)
  • - 10 cl Rum
  • - 10 star anise
  • - 8 cinnamon sticks
  • - 140g of honey
  • - Vanilla extract (or 1 vanilla bean)
  • - 400g orange
  • - 40g apples

Preparation

Step 1

Cut the oranges and apples and soak in rum.

Step 2

In a saucepan, combine the elderberries, red wine, cinnamon, vanilla. Boil.

Step 3

Strain the mixture through a strainer and remove the spices. Then return back to the pot with the honey and macerated fruit, previously drained. Add the cooked wine.

Step 4

Heat again. Serve hot!
