Delicious soft large chocolate chip cookies cheaper and better than the supermarket alternative
Ingredients
- 250g plain flour
- 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 170g buttery spread
- 200g brown sugar
- 100g white sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 325g chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder

Preparation
Step 1
Combine the cocoa powder, flour, salt and bicarbanate of soda in a bowl
Step 2
Mix the butter with the sugars before whisking in the egg, milk and vanilla.
Step 3
Slowly whisk in the flour mixture before placing cookie shapes onto a baking tray
Step 4
Leave plenty of room between cookies and bake for 20 minutes at 160 degrees
Leave the cookies to cool overnight for a softer texture
Alternate the chocolate chips with smarties, raisins or your favourite treat
