Honey and mustard pork chops with mash and green beans

Ingredients

  • 2 pork chops
  • 1 tsp of whole grain mustard
  • 3 tbsp of honey
  • Salt and pepper
  • 500g potatoes
  • Butter
  • Splash of milk
  • Green beans

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180. Mix the honey and mustard together, along with salt and pepper and smear over the pork chops and pop them in the oven.

Step 2

Peel and chop the potatoes into uniformely sized pieces. Boil the kettle and fill a large pan of water put over a medium heat, add the potatoes and a pinch of salt and boil until a knife easily slides through then and they're all soft.

Step 3

Cut the ends off the green beans and add them to the pan of potatoes for the last 5 mins of cooking.

Step 4

Drain the green beans and potatoes and seperate them. Toss the green beans in a little butter and set aside. Mash the potatoes with a splash of milk, a job if butter and salt and pepper until smooth.

Step 5

Remove chops from oven and plate up with mash and green beans. Skim any oil off the chops cooking juices and pour the juices over the mash.
