Preparation

Step 1

Peel the apples and cut them into cubes. Fry them in butter and sprinkle with brown sugar and cook them until browned. Then cut the cheese into thin slices - I have used a French cheese called Livarot, which is a strong smelling cheese. If you are unable to find it, try maroilles or munster or ask for a similar cheese over the counter.
On each sheet of brick or filo pastry, place the cubes of caramelised apples and a few slices of cheese and sprinkle with cumin.

Step 2

Close the filo pastry parcels, keeping them closed with wooden cocktail sticks. Bake for about 10 minutes at 250 ° C.
